Urodynamics Department

Services Provided  

The Urodynamics department provides an in-patient and out patient service which aids in the diagnosis of voiding and incontinent problems

Tests provided:  
Pressure Flow Studies

Uroflow

Bladder Scan for post void residual

Services:  Intermittent self-catheterisation instruction

This is maintained as a support service with follow up appointments and /or phone reviews

These test are very specialized and sensitive and are performed by nurses specifically trained in Urodynamics

Opening Hours

The (Urodynamcs Department) is open from 7.15am to 5pm Tuesday to Thursday

and on alternate Monday’s 7.30am to 5pm

At present we are unable to accept direct G.P. referrals.

Charges  

The above tests are usually covered by private insurance. Occasionally there may be a shortfall and this is payable on day of tests.

Self Catheterisation Instruction is not covered by private insurance.

The cost of this teaching session is 60 Euro

As charges may change it is advisable to verify charges when booking an appointment.

Patient Information

Information leaflets explaining individual tests are sent to each patient prior to their appointment, with a contact number if any additional information is required
