The
new
St.
Vincent's Private Hospital is being developed by St. Vincent's Healthcare
Group Limited on a site adjacant to the existing private hospital. The hospital is
designed to draw on the expertise of consultant staff based on the St.
Vincent's campus and existing staff at St. Vincent's Private Hospital
and will be the largest acute private hospital in Dublin. This new state of the art facility will
comprise 8 floors and 2 basement levels offering 236
in-patient beds, 30 day care beds, 22 oncology day care bays, Specialist
Consulting Rooms and Expanded Diagnostic and Treatment facilities
including:
Operating Theatres, Endocsopy
Suites, Angiography
Suite, MRI,
CT Scanning, Ultrasound, Mammography, Dexa Scanning,
Interventional Radiology, Radiotherapy, Minor Treatment Unit (A&E), Sleep
Laboratory, Pulmonary Function Lab, Physiotherapy, Urodynamics,
Out-Patient Surgical Facilities, Out-Patient Cardiology Facilities, Pain
Management Services, Pathology Services. The New Private Hospital which
will employ up to 250 additional staff will be
linked to St. Vincent's University Hospital via an underground
tunnel.
The total Development cost is approx. €
190m and Goodbody
Corporate Finance have been engaged to raise up to €
36m in tax based equity. While the bulk of the equity has already been raised there are
still
capital allowances available up to the opening date of the hospital which
is planned for 1 November 2010.
Please
note that vehicular access to St. Vincent's Private Hospital
has been moved from Herbert Avenue to the existing St. Vincent's
University Hospital Merrion Road entrance.
