Services Provided

The Department of Nutrition & Dietetics in St Vincents Private Hospital provides a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient service. Written referrals are accepted from consultants and general practitioners.

Dietary advice is necessary for patients who:

(a) require nutrition support i.e. patients who are malnourished or at risk of malnutrition.

(b) require therapeutic diets e.g. diabetes, coeliac disease, renal disease.

(c) require preventative diets e.g. for heart disease, weight management.

The Department of Nutrition & Dietetics is open from 8am to 4.30pm: Mon-Thurs (4pm Fri)

Appointment Procedures

For appointments please call 01 2609287 (8.30-4.30 Mon to Fri). A referral letter from a consultant or general practitioner may be faxed to 01 2609299 or posted to the above address. Should you need to change your appointment, please provide a minimum of 24 hours notice.

Charges

An initial outpatient appointment (1 hour) is €75. A review appointment is €45.  As charges may alter, please verify with the department when accessing the service.
